An amazing Fresco project recently completed at a luxury hotel in Surfers Paradise.
Fresco is a hard wearing finished designed to replicate the cool lustre of trawled plaster wall of ancient European buildings, Fresco gives elegance, depth and sophistication to any wall, it’s rich lustre reflects light like fine marble – Porter’s Paints
Fresco is usually applied with a trowel, but may be applied with a wide decorating brush or spatula. If applying by brush a rough finish will result. Sand then seal and polish with Porter’s Stucco Wax.
Parque on Oxford, Taringa is another massive project we are involved with. Our team are currently working on both internal and external works on this prestige estate living.
Parque consists of 7 apartments and 11 town houses, all consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, media rooms, open living areas with large balconies or courtyards.

ONE Bulimba Riverfront on Byron Street is one of the major projects we are currently working on. These apartments consist of 24 Penthouse Style luxury apartments across 4 levels and 6 house sized 3 storey town houses.
Some apartments are 3 bedroom plus media room all overlooking the Brisbane River while others are 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, private courtyard and internal lifts.
Our project includes all paintwork internal and external including render works. We have a small team of workers there ensuring that the finish of these apartments is very high end and up to standards.
Pretty in Pink! Taking a guest room and changing not only the colour but half of the wall to a completely different style.
This room was transformed into a pretty baby nursery for one lucky little girl. Removing the bottom section of the wall, adding v-jay boards and new skirts before applying new colours.
The old look was a blood orange feature wall and Dulux 1/2 strength Shetland Lace main walls. After the make over the v-jay section of the walls were Dulux Lexicon quarter, finished with Porters Paints Man Pink Lime Wash.
This timber dining was worn but still in very good structural condition. It has now been given a new lease on life using Porters Milk Paint. There are several preparation steps to ensure we get the level of colours coming through in the layers. Firstly the table and chairs are sanded back by hand and machine to ensure a sound surface for this decorative finish. Several coats of undercoats and Milk paint are applied. This ensures when it is sanded back to show the underlying layers that it comes through looking nice and natural. This paint finish is very popular on furniture and also kitchen and bathroom cupboards. It comes in a varied range of colours to suit many different tastes.
A cafe owner in West End, Brisbane was referred to us by Porter’s Paints aftering visiting their store in New Farm. Ultimately, she sought something different that would make her cafe stand out and draw attention the passersby. Taking inspiration from the local area which is imbued with an old industrial aesthetic, we decided to recreate a rust look. The rust finish was perfect for the cafe, transforming it from an unappealing, lacklustre exterior into an eye-catching and intriguing facade.
